Norman Brown is delighted to support our client, a prominent Nationwide Top 20 accounting firm with superb offices based in Chester, that is eager to recruit an ambitious Audit Senior to complement the growing Audit & Assurance department. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to support the audit partners, assist the firm's customers in realizing their goals, and influence the growth and success of the audit team. Audit Senior Role Requirements - Planning, execution, and completion of audits reporting to audit seniors but also directly to managers for lower risk audits. Preparation of accounts, reports, and other assignments as required. Co-ordinate planning with clients, including liaising with relevant departments within the firm. Communicating and building relationships with clients and related third parties. Leading on-site audit teams and completing jobs with minimal supervision, to deadlines and within budget. Starting to become aware of business development, including promoting the firm and its services to the existing client base and prospects. Development and supervision of trainees.
Audit Senior Person Requirements - ACA or ACCA qualified or late stage studying with at least 1+ years' experience in a focused external audit role working for a UK based accounting firm. Experience of leading external audit assignments from planning to completion stages under International Standards on Auditing. Experience of preparing accounts in accordance with UK GAAP. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills with senior staff and clients. Confident user of Microsoft Office suite - Intermediate/Advanced user of Word and Excel. Motivated to take responsibility for the role and maintain a high level of quality service.
