Main duties of the job
The role of a Health Care Assistant is well established within our nursing team and has been developed over the years to provide a wide range of clinical and support services. Within a clearly defined job role, you will be able to work autonomously as well as assist other clinical staff in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion, and patient education. The successful candidate will have proven experience in a wide range of clinical services including venepuncture, blood pressure monitoring, urinalysis, and ECGs. In addition, our Health Care Assistants also carry out injections and vaccinations against a specific schedule and support our Diabetic services, being able to undertake Diabetic foot checks. You will have a good working knowledge of infection control, safeguarding, and the importance of clear and accurate record keeping.
