NPD Manager for an exciting manufacturing business based in South Wales Your new company

: You will be working for a well-established manufacturing company in South Wales who design, develop, and manufacture mechanical and textile load securing equipment. Their innovative products are used for the transportation sector across Europe and the business is well-renowned in its field. Your new role

: This is an exciting new position to join the company as their New Product Development Manager, where you will specialise in innovating their steel and aluminium products. In this role you will spend the majority of your time supporting the business at their factory close to Merthyr Tydfil (Approximately 3 days on site with 2 days working from home). As part of your role, you will also travel across Europe approximately 1-2 times a month to work collaboratively with other parts of the business and on occasion travel with the sales team to visit customers. Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop and drive the execution of the Steel and Aluminium strategy to further support its position in the market Research and evaluate all available materials and equipment in the market to ensure the business can capitalise on the best available technologies to enhance its product offering Ensure product competitiveness through cost, performance and value added Create business cases for new products Support Engineers Collaborate with Marketing, sales and other areas of the business to get accurate and high-quality product information Develop new technologies and products, reducing costs and improving product performance, while driving the line-up towards more environmentally-friendly solutions Convert requirements of customers into product Develop further in-house testing and validation capability What you'll need to succeed
