Our client is a leading food business supplying various major retailers. As they continue to expand their presence in the marketplace, they are seeking a driven and ambitious NPD Site Lead to join their business.

Reporting into the Head of Innovation and Development, this brand new role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking to advance in a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Strategic Development: Lead customer own label development through the Stage and Gate process, ensuring flawless transitions from concept to launch. Accurately plan, resource, and manage the site NPD function. Customer Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with customer developers, influencing and aligning with their strategic plans. Industry Engagement: Attend trade shows, NPD events, and supplier reviews to stay informed on industry trends. Work closely with the Development Chefs and the Commercial Team, ensuring that all information is co-owned, co-approved, and appropriate to the brief. Lead site Research and Development projects as appropriate. Ensure that the senior management team is updated with any issues relating to food safety and legality, ensuring that appropriate actions are agreed and completed. Liaise with suppliers, third parties, and external providers of expertise. Work proactively with respect to new processes, machinery, capabilities, and product improvement.

Qualifications and Experience: A proven track record of managing NPD teams. A proven track record within fresh produce. Able to demonstrate key customer stakeholder relationships. Experience supporting major retailers and previous exposure to leading retailers in the UK. Expert knowledge in food science and manufacturing processes.
