Job Description

We are looking to recruit a QHSE Advisor to join our client’s team in the nuclear space. As part of our client’s growth, they are integrating the QHSE function to serve the overall operations in the UK. Responsibilities will Include The line management and development of the QHSE team in line with the business needs; The ownership of the Quality, Health & Safety, Environment, Radioprotection processes, systems and tools as well as the related reporting at both our Client's and Group level; The development, management and continuous improvement of the overall Management system with the various process owners to ensure the effectiveness of our processes and procedures; The implementation of Nuclear Safety initiatives to ensure that a strong nuclear safety culture is maintained across our organisation and is flown down to our supply partners; The implementation of Group wide programs and initiatives in relation to QHSE (e.g., 5TK); Providing the executive team and the board with advice and support to ensure that the company is meeting its regulatory requirements (e.g., CDM) in relation to QHSE. The QHSE Advisor will work closely with: The project, engineering and design teams to ensure that quality, health, safety and environmental within Integrated Management System is maintained, adhered to, developed, and improved to meet our business needs, customers and regulatory requirements. With the engineering and project managers to ensure that QHSE programs are communicated and deployed within Engineering BL and related agreed performance indicators measured and actioned upon when required; With the IMS Manager to ensure that the performance of the IMS is deployed and adhered to in the operational areas. With our Client's Head / Deputy Head of QHSE to inform of events and performances regarding QHSE, adherence to and evolution of regulatory framework in relation to the business. Required Attributes IOSH / NEBOSH safety certificate. Experience in Accident / Incident Investigation / Problem solving. Experience in highly regulated industries. Experience of Nuclear industry is highly desirable. Understanding of the key attributes of nuclear safety culture. Demonstrable field engagement. Good knowledge of performance management techniques and/or root cause analysis techniques (FMEA, A-Z, 5 Whys, LEAN, Six Sigma). Desired Attributes Internal auditor for ISO9001, 14001, 45001. Experience of implementing processes and procedures. On-site experience of engineering, chemical, and design activities.
