Shape the nuclear safety case strategy. Work closely with project partners to ensure a safety-informed design. Engage with stakeholders to facilitate 'Right First Time' delivery. Undertake safety assessments and analysis. Produce safety reports and other technical documents. Provide technical leadership for:

Hazard/Fault Identification Studies (e.g., HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, etc). Qualitative and Quantitative Hazard Analysis Assessments. Radiological Hazard Assessments. Safety Case Report production (e.g., PSR, PCSR, etc). ALARP Assessments. Support to Engineering Substantiation activities. Liaison with regulatory organisations (e.g., ONR, DNSR). Development and review of Safety Management Arrangements. Managing/Leading Safety Case activities and teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven track record in safety within the defence or nuclear domain, or other regulated industries. Honours Degree in physics, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline. Chartered status (or working towards it). Strong technical and engineering judgment. Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail. Leadership experience and the ability to mentor junior staff. Proficient in using engineering software and familiar with ISO 19650-1 & ISO 19650-2.
