We are recruiting for a Nurse Manager - Haemodialysis, working in partnership with the Matron as an integral part of the Nurse Management team. The post-holder will be accountable for the line management of nursing staff, demonstrating clinical and managerial leadership to provide the highest standards of care. The Nurse Manager will also be accountable for the budget management for the Lister Dialysis unit and provide effective leadership for all nursing and support staff. Main duties of the job

Have overall responsibility for the operational management of clinical service delivery at unit level. Provide excellent standards of nursing care and expertise, both in delivering direct patient care and in support of other staff. Promote high standards of professional practice and quality care within corporate policies, protocols, and guidelines. Be accountable for the delivery and monitoring of robust infection control measures. Provide clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff. Establish effective communication links with the Unplanned division management team. Person specification

Experience

Significant experience in caring for patients requiring renal nursing. Evidence of understanding in expenditure and budget management. Involvement in audit/research and willingness to present findings. Skills

Ability to develop own skills and knowledge. Demonstrate a flexible approach to changing departmental needs. Evidence of strong leadership and motivational skills. Knowledge

In-depth knowledge of managing a busy dialysis unit. Understanding of risk management and clinical governance issues. Financial management ability and competence. Qualifications

Registered Nurse educated to Part 1 of the NMC Register. Post registration qualification in renal specialty. Teaching qualification - Mentorship and preceptorship. Evidence of continuous professional development. Managerial and leadership qualification/relevant experience. Our values
