You will have experience as a leader and working autonomously under your own initiative, responding to rapidly changing service priorities within a primary and acute care setting. You will be expected to perform comprehensive assessments of patients with urgent presentations and develop working diagnosis and treatment plans whilst working without direct supervision.

As a Lead Nurse, you will be a highly visual, dynamic, forward-thinking Nurse with excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills, and the ability to motivate and support others through change and service development. You will be working clinically and have responsibility for line management by leading, monitoring, developing, and appraising staff and learners. You will also provide professional guidance, leadership, and direction to the nursing teams across the organisation.

You may be required to travel to different sites across the Essex, Suffolk, and Tendring area.

Main duties of the job

You will play an integral role in the operational and strategic developments of the service across the UCRs pathway, by working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, ACPs, Operational Clinical Matron, Service Manager, and Senior Leadership Team to ensure the team is empowered and skilled in the delivery of outstanding care to service users across the pathway. You will be supported in your development as an advanced practitioner by a mentor and a robust appraisal process, and allocated time for continuing professional development will be provided. You must hold a relevant qualification with community experience or other comparable/transferable skills. You should have a good understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation and treatment methods used in this specialist field and be adaptable to change and embrace innovation. We are committed to supporting you in your professional development, ensuring you have opportunities to attend appropriate training to support you to reach your full potential.

The IUCRS team is a multi-disciplinary team based in Kennedy House Clacton-On-Sea, with other bases in Colchester. Our team delivers high-quality care, 08:00 - 20:00, 7 days a week within the Northeast Essex community. We will offer individually tailored induction, training, and support for successful candidates.
