Responsibilities and duties: Support the managers and other staff in the daily running of the nursery Help plan, organize, supervise, and carry out an interesting and stimulating range of activities, taking into account the ages and abilities of the children Take an active part in story-telling, songs and rhymes, music and movement, and outside activities Attend training days as required Make parents feel at ease and welcome in the nursery Help supervise children at mealtimes and rest times Ensure that there is no discrimination in the nursery due to disability, race, or religion Encourage children from ethnic minority groups to maintain their cultural identities Inform the nursery managers or senior staff of any accident or injury within the nursery Inform the nursery managers of any suspicion of non-accidental injury or child protection issue Be aware of the fire evacuation procedure and fire exits Comply with health and safety rules within the nursery Help keep equipment and play areas in good order Assist with cleaning duties, prepare and serve tea for the children (on a rota), taking responsibility with other staff for hygiene and cleanliness Requirements and prospects: Desired skills: Enthusiasm for working with young children An interest in the care, learning, and development of young children A commitment to the provision of high-quality childcare Good organizational, record keeping, and planning skills A positive approach to learning and gaining new skills through teamwork and training Personal qualities: Punctuality Excellent communication skills with children, colleagues, advisors, and parents Patience Reliability and trustworthiness A positive approach to inclusive practice with children and colleagues We will help you gain a Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare Qualification through an Apprenticeship where you will work minimum 30 hours per week. Candidate currently holding a Level 2 Qualification will be considered for Early Years Educator Level 3 Qualification. Immediate Start. Job Types:
