Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that each child feels safe, valued, and engaged in their learning journey. Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development. Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and engagement in various activities. Support the lead nursery staff in maintaining a clean and organised environment. Help manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities. Foster positive relationships with children and their families, providing updates on their progress and development. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood education. Qualifications

A background in Early Childhood Education is preferred but not essential; relevant experience with children is highly valued. Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to drive may be advantageous for transporting materials or attending off-site activities. Leadership qualities to help manage small groups of children during activities. Previous experience in childcare or nursery settings is desirable. A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their development.
