Nursery Assistant Deputy

in our new nursery located in Skipton. If you have a strong background in early years education and management, we want to hear from you!

About the Role: As the Nursery Assistant Deputy for our Toddler Building, you will play a key role in supporting the nursery's day-to-day operations. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will oversee the care and development of children in the toddler age group, ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment. Your leadership will contribute to the overall growth and success of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in the management and smooth running of the toddler room, ensuring all children are cared for in a safe, supportive, and engaging environment. Supervise and guide a team of nursery staff, providing support, training, and motivation. Ensure the delivery of the EYFS curriculum and plan age-appropriate activities that promote development and learning. Work closely with parents and carers, offering feedback and advice on child development. Assist in maintaining nursery policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Take on leadership duties in the absence of the Nursery Manager.

Requirements: Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent). Minimum of

2 years of managerial experience

within a childcare setting. A passion for working with toddlers and supporting their development. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to work well as part of a team and independently. A commitment to creating a warm and nurturing environment for children.
