Merstham Primary, a village community school, has an exciting new opportunity for a Nursery Assistant at level 3 or 2 if good school experience. Your opportunity An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen at this small village school to work within our friendly and supportive nursery team with our youngest pupils aged two years and upwards. We are looking to appoint a committed and caring Nursery Assistant to play a key role in supporting the Nursery Lead. You will play a central role in the children’s development and also their welfare. What we are looking for Be passionate about the education and support for children. Be able to develop positive relationships with young children. Be flexible with regard to the needs of the children and the school. Be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour. Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team. Be a confident and clear communicator with parents. Be able to develop an understanding of the educational, welfare and social needs of the child with whom you are supporting. Have experience of working in a nursery setting. The Details

Hours of work:

32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.30 -3.00pm) Closing date for applications
