They now have a fantastic new opportunity for a Level 3 Early Years childcare apprentice to join their team.

Fatima Day Nursery are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Childcare Early Years Apprentice. If you have already completed your Level 2 in Early Years, or can demonstrate your extensive experience working in a nursery setting, then we would love to hear from you.

You'll have a passion for working with children, a desire to learn and grow in the field of childcare, and a commitment to providing a nurturing and educational environment; this opportunity is perfect for you.

As a Childcare Apprentice, you will have the chance to work closely with experienced childcare professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive and inclusive setting. You will have the opportunity to work with children of different ages, ranging from infants to preschoolers, and contribute to their physical, cognitive, and emotional development.

Your Responsibilities

Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and educational programs

Support children’s social and emotional development through positive interactions and guidance

Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times

Maintain a clean and organised childcare environment

Collaborate with colleagues and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills in childcare

What you will bring to the role

Genuine interest in working with children and a strong commitment to their well-being

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

High level of patience, empathy, and understanding

Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals

Basic knowledge of child development principles is a plus, but not required

Entry requirements You will need to already hold a Level 2 in Early Years or have extensive first-hand nursery setting experience. Maths and English grade 4/C would be desirable.

Training to be Provided You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship. As you progress through your apprenticeship your duties and responsibilities will alter as you develop the skills for a successful career in childcare. Training will be a mix of face-to-face and online learning. You will gain an early year's practitioner qualification with further opportunities for training, development and permanent employment upon completion. Functional Skills in Maths and English if required.

Things to consider The hours of work are Monday to Friday between 08.00-17.00. The pay rate for this role is the National Minimum Wage for Apprentices. Candidates must already hold a EY Level 2 qualification or have extensive previous nursery experience.
