Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our nursery. This role requires strong leadership skills and a solid background in early childhood education. The Nursery Room Leader will manage daily activities, ensuring that each child's developmental needs are met while fostering a love for learning. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of nursery staff, providing guidance and support in their daily activities. Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Manage daily operations within the nursery room, including scheduling activities and maintaining supplies. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their independence and confidence through play-based learning. Conduct regular assessments of children's development, documenting progress and planning for individual needs. Qualifications Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education, with a strong understanding of child development principles. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff. Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage a team effectively while promoting a collaborative atmosphere. A genuine passion for working with young children and the drive to create an enriching nursery experience. Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare are desirable but not mandatory. Experience working in a nursery setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key.
