Reports to:

Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager Duties will include: Cover where necessary, to allow staff members to complete relevant paperwork and to cover lunch breaks. Assist with the lunch time set up in whichever room you are working in that day. Assist with the serving of lunch and dessert to all rooms. Supervise and support the children during lunch time. Responsible/assist with the cleaning of the tables, chairs and floors after lunch in all rooms as well as the washing of dishes, bibs and cutlery. Assist with hand washing and cleaning up of children in preparation for sleep or quiet time. Assist with re-setting the room for afternoon activities. Assist with the set-up of sleep mats (as directed). Look upon the nursery as a ‘whole’. Be flexible within your working practices and be constantly aware of the changing needs of the children and nursery. Carry out any other duties when required. Skills and Experience: Experience with children ages 0-5 years old. Team player who is enthusiastic, hardworking and committed to a career within childcare. Ability to use own initiative as part of a team. Values and respects the views and needs of children. Resilience with the ability to work well under pressure. Commitment to equal opportunities.
