Empowering Learning are working with a nursery in the Redcar/East Cleveland area. We are seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Nursery Manager. You will be expected to manage all aspects of the running of the nursery, ensuring that all children attending receive high quality care, are kept safe and are provided with planned and stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs.

Responsibilities: To lead and contribute to the provision of a high quality environment to meet the need of individual children from different cultures and religious backgrounds, and stages of development. To plan and deliver exciting and engaging experiences that are centred around the children's needs and interests. To quality assure and keep accurate data and assessment records of children's learning and progress e.g. learning journals. To ensure that first and foremost, safeguarding children and staff is the utmost priority. To effectively manage the nursery, develop long term plans and action plans that progressively move the nursery forward. To ensure the nursery complies with all relevant legislation, plus local authority and OFSTED requirements. To work in partnership with early years professionals and agencies as required, such as Health Visitors and SEN services. Manage, lead and develop all nursery staff, including responsibilities for all aspects of people management, performance management and staff development. To be responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety within the workplace, including but not limited to; accident reporting, overseeing fire and evacuation procedures, first aid provision and risk assessments.

Minimum Requirements: Previous Nursery leader experience, including excellent EYFS and Safeguarding knowledge. Excellent communication and leadership skills. A passionate and positive attitude towards working with children. A full and relevant childcare qualification (level 3 or above).
