Nursery Manager

Chuggers Day Nursery in Taunton is currently seeking an experienced Nursery Manager The role of the Nursery Manager is to ensure the day-to-day management of the setting runs smoothly and effectively, including staff management and guidance. To oversee a successful, high-quality childcare provision, ensuring that standards are met, and children receive excellent quality care and education. Supervision of and support to the other personnel within the setting, therefore implementing high standards of quality practices. We are fortunate to have an Area Nursery Manager and Operations Manager, who are responsible for almost all admin related tasks, such as invoicing, funding, learning observations, reports, budgeting, rotas, etc., so you will not be responsible for these roles. We are seeking a candidate who: Has excellent team leading skills, who can lead and train a team, to ensure the smooth running of the setting. Will ensure peer to peers, planning, observations and reports are completed to an outstanding level. Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly and professional relationships with parents and carers. Will be responsible for maintaining records, ordering equipment/resources, maintaining inventories and keeping personnel records. Will work closely with other members of management to agree and deliver occupancy targets, recruit, induct, support, train and appraise all staff to ensure a delivery of high quality childcare practice. Will inspire the future of our children, by leading your team and delivering the very best care and education, following Development Matters. Is passionate about supporting the development of children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years. Is enthusiastic and willing to go above and beyond. Is hardworking and a team player. Is positive attitude, good initiative, confident and approachable. Is an excellent communicator, both written and verbal. About the Company: Chuggers Day Nursery and Preschool is a family-run setting in Taunton, that provides exceptional standards of childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years. Chuggers also run a holiday club for children between the ages of 5 to 8 years. Here at Chuggers, we aim to provide an environment that will encourage children to develop into happy, confident individuals. Requirements: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Education Previous management experience within an early years setting Up-to-date knowledge of EYFS framework Experience working with Ofsted, ideally through an Ofsted inspection Leadership and management experience Be available to work full time, all year round, flexible between the hours of 8am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
