Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and experience in managing and caring for children in a nursery setting. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to thrive. Your ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in fostering positive relationships within our nursery community. Responsibilities Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development. Monitor children's progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment. Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through play-based learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and outdoor play. Drive initiatives that enhance children's experiences within the nursery setting. Demonstrate leadership qualities by mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional development. Requirements Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education are preferred. Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to manage groups of children effectively while ensuring their safety and well-being. A nurturing attitude with the ability to build rapport with children and parents alike. Leadership skills to guide less experienced staff members when necessary. A commitment to ongoing professional development in childcare practices.
