We are recruiting a nursery practitioner to work 2/3 full days, who must hold a level 3 or above qualification in childcare to join our team at The Wendy House Day Nursery. Our nursery is a privately run setting offering a homely atmosphere, along with friendly qualified staff with a family feel. We are rated 'Good' in our most recent Ofsted Inspection. The nursery is equipped with stimulating equipment and facilities. We are open Monday-Friday, 50 weeks of the year from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. We are closed on bank holidays and two weeks at Christmas. If you are successful, your responsibilities will involve: Assisting in the day-to-day running of the rooms and children’s activities. Playing and interacting with the children to engage their attention and promote their development. Planning daily fun and interesting activities that incorporate all areas of the curriculum and provide children with life experiences for their development. Monitoring your key children and tracking their development using our Tapestry development tool (knowledge useful but not necessary). Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times and participating in regular safeguarding training. Providing a positive role model to all children. Ensuring daily cleaning of toys, equipment, and facilities with other team members to maintain hygiene and welfare of the children. Maintaining a high standard of professional conduct and a child-centered approach in accordance with nursery policies, procedures, current legislation, the EYFS, registration requirements, and any other guidelines issued by DFE. What is also required: A happy disposition like 'Mary Poppins' to spread smiles and warmth to the children. Willingness to join in with children's role-play activities. Ability to sing throughout the day and read stories with enthusiasm to engage children. A caring, lovable personality with patience. Ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, and create a fun and interesting environment.
