Little Explorers Hythe are looking for a new member of staff to join our dedicated and expanding team working as a full or part time permanent Nursery Practitioner. The nursery opened in September 2016, is owned by two teachers and managed by a highly qualified and experienced full time manager. We work closely together along with our brilliant deputy manager. www.littleexplorershythe.com . The nursery is operational Monday – Friday all year round. We close for a Christmas break, during which staff use some of their holiday entitlement. We provide a safe and stimulating environment whilst nurturing the children’s learning and development. We follow the EYFS curriculum guidance and our own curriculum devised by our staff and based on our children's needs. Key Responsibilities: Ensuring that our curriculum is implemented through imaginative, creative and child-led initiatives. Taking on the role of key worker for your designated children. Working in partnership with parents by providing effective feedback on their child’s learning and holding one-to-one meetings. Contributing positively to the culture and reputation of the nursery. Adhering to nursery policies and procedures which includes the safeguarding and health and safety of all children. Requirements: Experience in the role of a Nursery Practitioner. A minimum of an NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Education or equivalent is desirable. Excellent knowledge of the EYFS. An understanding of safeguarding procedures. A passion for working with children under 5 years old. Experience of working with 'In The Moment Planning' would be preferable. Be available to work between the hours of 7:45 AM - 6 PM Monday to Friday, for a minimum of 3 days per week (you will not work these hours every day).
