Job description This lovely setting in Kelvedon is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to join their team. You should have a level 3 in childcare and have previously worked in a similar position. You would be working full time, 40 hours per week; however, there is also the option to work part time (2/3 days per week, 8am - 6pm). The nursery is situated in an area with excellent train links into Colchester and London.

This lovely nursery is located in a large building which has a home-to-home feeling. Each room is welcoming and homely, with a beautiful open rustic outside area. The toddler rooms have free flow access to the outside space, which also has a nature area for the children. The nursery is open from 8am - 6pm all year round and closes between Christmas and New Year.

You will be joining a nursery with ambitious plans, where the staff team is stable, happy, and enthusiastic about creating amazing experiences for the children within their care. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic person who can work closely within a growing team. You should possess great communication skills and have a calm, approachable nature.

Duties include:

Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development. Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met. Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery and promote these daily in every routine. Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families. Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures. Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent. Attend regular team meetings to ensure that you remain updated on key priorities, changes, developments and regularly review company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential Over 1 year of experience working in Early Years - desirable Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements
