to join our St. George’s Nursery team at Enderby.

If you can tick some, though preferably all, of the Special Skills required to work here, then we would love to hear from you!

About us At St. George’s Nursery, we take pride in the fact that we have such dedicated long-term staff who are passionate about both childcare as well as St. George’s. 39 members of the St. George’s family have been with us for 5+ years, and 21 members of our team have been with us for 10+ years. They are constantly building on their knowledge and skills, and their passion for what they do continues to grow stronger and stronger.

Nursery Practitioner Role & Responsibilities:

Singing in front of a crowd of children (in tune is not necessary)

Reading a 10-page fairy-tale upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page

Being outdoors, come rain or shine – especially jumping up and down in muddy puddles

Pretending to eat playdough creations realistically and drinking numerous cups of pretend tea

Special Skills:

You must have a warm, smiling face that makes every child feel special & you must be able to laugh at jokes you don’t understand or find funny!

Preferably, you have a little bit of quirkiness. If a child requests that you be a pirate ship’s captain, you will be the best pirate captain you can be!

Finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special and important to many young children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like this one.
