Teeny Feet Day Nursery in Chatham requires a qualified and dedicated Nursery Practitioner with Level 3 in Childcare Qualification to work 4/5 days a week with pre-school children. The successful candidate will have the opportunity and training to further their career. As a member of the nursery staff, the post holder will take shared responsibility for the planning, recording, implementation, and evaluation of an inclusive early year’s curriculum in accordance with EYFS. Other duties include providing high-quality care, planning stimulating activities based on children's individual needs, being a key worker, tracking/monitoring the children’s progress through observation, and writing children’s progress reports. The successful applicants must have previous experience of working in Early Years with excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS Birth – 5 Matters and its current legislation. Be part of a team, be a good team player, and be able to work in partnership with parents, involving and informing them on the progress of their child/children. You will ensure the children feel safe and secure and provide opportunities for them to learn both indoors and outdoors. They must also have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as an extensive knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children’s legislation. Commitment to providing safe, high-quality care and education for children, which meets the needs and interests of the child, is essential. The candidates will ideally hold a Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and Food Safety Certificate. They must be caring, kind, trustworthy, hardworking, and able to work well in a team. All applications are subject to an enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references. We have a safe approach to recruitment. Work experience in a childcare setting is essential. Job Type: Part-time 4/5 days per week, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM on a rota basis of 6 - 8 hours per day. This position is subject to suitable references and an enhanced DBS check. The successful candidate must be in a position to start immediately. Job Types: Permanent Knowledge of Birth – 5 Matters is an advantage.
