About the Role: As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years. You will work as part of a close-knit team, supporting children’s learning and development through play-based activities, fostering creativity, and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Key Responsibilities: Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children to learn and grow. Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s development across all areas of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). Observe and assess children’s progress, keeping accurate records and sharing updates with parents/carers. Build positive relationships with children, encouraging their confidence, independence, and social skills. Support children with their personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and dressing where necessary. Ensure children’s safety and well-being by following all safeguarding procedures and nursery policies. Work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to create a nurturing and positive environment. Communicate regularly with parents and carers, providing updates on their child’s development. Take part in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge. About You: A Level 3 Early Years Education and Care qualification (or equivalent) is essential. Previous experience working with young children in an early years setting is desirable. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development. Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and an understanding of child development. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. A positive, patient, and caring nature, with a commitment to providing the best possible care and education. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your initiative. Desirable Qualifications/Experience: First Aid qualification (or willingness to undergo training). Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and practices.
