Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in a nurturing environment. You will be responsible for creating engaging learning experiences, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, and fostering their development through play-based activities. Duties Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform future planning. Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children. Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support each child's individual needs. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery space, ensuring it meets health and safety standards. Collaborate with team members to develop and implement nursery policies and procedures. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in early years education. Experience Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or educational setting is essential. A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3) is preferred. Strong understanding of child development principles and the EYFS framework. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A patient, caring attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
