Nursery Practitioner Location: Eastleigh, Southampton (SO50 9JW) Contract: Temporary Salary: £12.73 per hour (£16.40 per hour umbrella, £17.65 per hour agency rate)

Myn is recruiting for our long-term client in Eastleigh, Southampton. We are looking for a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive team in a Children’s Nursery. If you have a passion for childcare and a strong understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), this is a fantastic opportunity.

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will provide high-quality learning, development, and care for children aged 6 months to 5 years. You will create a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment, working closely with parents, carers, and colleagues.

We can offer both full-time and part-time positions, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure children are safe, happy, and engaged in learning. Communicate effectively with children through play and interaction. Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities based on EYFS guidelines. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. Maintain and organise toys, play equipment, and learning materials. Keep accurate records of children’s progress.

What We’re Looking For Essential Qualifications & Experience:

NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development (or equivalent) – certificate required. Paediatric First Aid Certificate. Enhanced DBS check (Children’s Workforce). GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above). Strong knowledge of child protection and data protection policies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experience working in an early years setting (desirable). Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to the needs of the nursery.
