OVERALL JOB ROLE
To deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for babies To manage the day to day running of the Baby Room To ensure the rooms are a safe environment for children, staff and others To develop partnerships with parents/guardians to increase involvement in their child's development To manage your team (1 other person)
DUTIES
To ensure responsibility for the effective daily running of the rooms To have a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures and expectations To act as an excellent role model to the staff team showcasing high quality practice in all areas To take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety and security practice within the nursery To work cooperatively with the managers, deputy and other room leaders, closely with the Infant Room Leader To support and lead your room team in planning and providing appropriate daily activities in line with guidance from the EYFS To uphold the highest level of safeguarding practice and ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times To manage and supervise observation, assessment and planning in the rooms, ensuring all children are making progress To work with outside professionals where required To work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all families
QUALIFICATIONS (ESSENTIAL)
Minimum level 3 in early years or equivalent Experience in working with babies/under 2s Knowledge of the Early Years Sector Good standard of English and Maths
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS (ESSENTIAL)
2 years or more experience of working in a nursery Experience of being a key person Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted framework
