SEN Teaching Assistant 1 to 1 SEN support Nursery Class Full-time Start date: ASAP Contract: ongoing Waltham Forest A small primary school in Waltham Forest is looking for a 1 to 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in nursery with special educational needs. The Role In this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will be supporting a child on a 1 to 1 basis who has just joined the school nursery. The child has a diagnosis of autism and epilepsy and is non-verbal at present. She will require support with all aspects of attending nursery, including personal care. You will work closely with the SENCO and class teacher and will be involved in some care plan assessments. You will have daily interaction with the child’s parents to provide updates. The school is ideally looking for someone with previous experience supporting young people with autism. This role is to start immediately and is expected to continue for the rest of the academic year.
