We are looking to recruit highly motivated individual to join our acute medical admissions team on the Discharge Lounge at the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital (NSECH). . The team provide high standard and safe care to all the patients, suffering from acute medical illness.

The successful candidate will have exemplary communication skills and will be highly motivated. The discharge lounge comprises of 15 beds and 4 chair spaces and specialises in the ongoing journey of patients moving to different specialities within the organisation and those transitioning to home or community based care.

Whilst experience would be an advantage full training will be provided .We work closely with all members of the MDT to provide a full holistic approach to patient care.

Candidate must demonstrate a compassion and caring towards their patients and able to deliver high standard of care. One must possess a good communication and organisational skills.

Must be willing to work flexible hours to meet the service needs of our patients which includes, weekends and night shifts. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable .

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. High quality patient care is at the heart of everything we do and we strive to ensure every single patient and service user has an exceptional experience with us. We have one of the most extensive patient experience programmes of any trust in England.

Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital, community, and other settings. Records patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions Carries out limited clinical care duties.
