Occupational Health Advisor

will carry out timely and effective evidence-based health assessments to provide informative analysis of medical concerns/conditions, along with recommendations regarding an employee's suitability for work. The role will involve: Conducting pre-employment health checks for prospective employees based on the risks specific to their proposed role. Undertaking occupational screening/health surveillance in accordance with health and safety legislation and interpreting results to advise accordingly. Preparing written reports to review fitness for work, inclusive of the assessment between the individual's abilities and the job role/tasks. Assessing and liaising with absent employees to ensure an appropriate and timely return to work, including home visits where appropriate. Providing advice and recommendations, such as reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act 2010, including return to work plans, to support the employee whilst in work or returning to work. Proactively developing a wellbeing agenda for the business, in consultation with the Head of HR, to ensure that the needs of the workforce are met and to maximize attendance at work. Occupational Health Advisor , we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of: Being a Registered General Nurse (post registration). Holding a FOM Diploma in Occupational Health Practice and having up-to-date CPR/First Aid Certification. Holding a full UK driving licence and being able to travel as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role. Experience working in a similar role in the private sector, preferably in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
