This is a temporary role to start as soon as possible until February 2025 with the possibility to be extended and be able to work 3 to 4 days a week. Day-to-day of the role: Provide occupational health services by offering advice, guidance, and support on work-related health matters, including suitability for employment, fitness to work, and rehabilitation. Contribute to the development, delivery, and evaluation of health promotion activities for staff, ensuring high quality and value for money services. Use clinical skills and knowledge to identify opportunities for service improvements and developments, promoting a proactive approach to health promotion and illness prevention. Provide clinical and professional advice to both clinical and non-clinical staff and foster collaborative partnerships with other services. Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to assist in planning and commissioning services. Deliver health surveillance services and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions. Lead and facilitate the development and implementation of workforce health and wellbeing service objectives as delegated. Participate in the supervision of clinical nursing practice, ensuring it is safe, effective, and evidence-based, and lead in the development of clinical standards in conjunction with the nurse manager. Required Skills & Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Occupational Health Nursing (or equivalent) and a minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience. Open to consider RGN without the degree in OH. A broad range of occupational health nursing experience, including advising on complex issues within a customer-focused, unionised environment. A proven track record of achievement as an occupational health nurse practitioner. In-depth knowledge and the ability to interpret and advise on occupational health issues.
