We are looking for a full-time experienced Occupational Health Nurse, preferably with some mental health experience/training, to join our team at Staffordshire County Council. As an Occupational Health Nurse at Staffordshire, you’ll be part of a small, dedicated team and part of the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Service within People Services. The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Service supports the County Council, Staffordshire schools, and partnership arrangements with the view to ensuring high standards of health and safety are maintained. Main Responsibilities Whilst there is a requirement to undertake the duties of this role as outlined in the job description, such as undertaking clinical assessments, delivering a comprehensive OH service, report writing, liaising with colleagues/managers from across the business as well as multi-disciplinary teams, this is a bespoke role where you will play a pivotal part in an exciting new pilot on absence management and colleague wellbeing within Health and Care and the wider Council. The Ideal Candidate We would like you to: Hold a nursing diploma or degree and relevant experience in occupational health. Be professionally accountable for the delivery of standards of professional practice and behaviours as set by the Nursing & Midwifery Council. Have excellent communication skills. Be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Mental health experience/training would be preferable but not essential.
