Working with the Head of Wellbeing & OH to manage and develop the provision of an efficient, effective, and professional Occupational Health (OH) Service, involved in all aspects of its service delivery to promote and maintain a high degree of physical, mental, and social well-being for all employees of University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust. Provide quality healthcare by advising staff and management on the protection of employees against physical or environmental health hazards arising from their work conditions. The post holder will line manage a group of Occupational Health nurses, hold a clinical caseload, and lead the development and implementation of organization and departmental policies and procedures. Main Duties of the Job

Manage, organize, and develop the provision of an efficient and effective Occupational Health (OH) Service. Develop and implement collaborative working models across Occupational Health & Wellbeing Services. Provide professional nursing leadership and take responsibility for OH clinical activity. Contribute to the development, delivery, and achievement of the service's objectives. Job Responsibilities

Registered Nurse. Management training/leadership course. Relevant clinical and management experience. Demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and expertise in the specialty. Ability to work collaboratively/autonomously and manage clinical workload. Knowledge of key professional issues and NMC guidelines. Knowledge of relevant guidance, legislation, and evidence-based practice. Understanding of strategic, political, and social initiatives impacting service delivery. Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health) Degree or equivalent Diploma with experience in this field. Master's Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience. Possess a relevant H&S qualification or be prepared to obtain such qualification within 6 months of commencing post. Member of specialist interest groups and networks locally and nationally. Research activity that has led to publication. Experience

Significant postgraduate experience in an Occupational Health setting. NHS Occupational Health experience. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams at a management level. Experience of budgetary management and setting. Understanding of workforce and management information. Aptitude and Abilities

Excellent communication and influencing skills. Effective organizational skills and ability to work without supervision. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and deal with complex issues. Personal Qualities

Prepared to travel between bases and other sites within the trust. DBS Clearance required. Person Specification

Qualifications and Knowledge

Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with current registration. Management training/leadership course. Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health) Degree or equivalent Diploma. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
