Permanent contract | 21 hours per week | £32,076 to £33,945 per annum pro rata (Grade H) | Norwich We are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a part-time Occupational Therapist Assistant Practitioner (OTAP) based within the Adoption and Kinship Support Team at County Hall. In this role, you will have the benefit of working within a large, multi-disciplinary team who are committed to improving outcomes for adopted and kinship children and their families. The OTAP is supervised by the OT and accountable to the Adoption and Kinship Support Team Manager. Supported by the OT, you will be expected to deliver a full range of OT interventions directly to children, young people and their parent/carers, with overall case responsibility sitting with a qualified practitioner. Your main functions will be: To work collaboratively with service users, their support network/family, and other agencies to enable them to achieve and maintain balance in their activities of daily living. With the support of the OT, to formulate and implement intervention plans aimed at reducing the impact of trauma and attachment disruptions. To reduce the impact of trauma and attachment disruptions and to promote function and social participation. To provide consultation, advice and to develop support plans where there are issues relating to activities of daily living, emotional regulation and sensory processing. To provide consultations to the staff within the adoption and kinship support team and corporate parenting to offer specialist occupational support and advice. To offer a range of relevant workshops and groups to meet the needs of the service user and their families. Your office base will be at County Hall in Norwich. We anticipate that working remotely will be a key feature of this role. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.
