You will be key in demonstrating specialist expertise in occupational therapy skills in areas such as occupational engagement, environmental adaption, development and maintenance of skills needed for meaningful participation.

Your responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist will include: Communicating effectively with a range of clinicians, managers, directors, associate directors, people who access services, carers/supporters/family members, stakeholders, and agencies Providing compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff including support staff and assistants Ensuring the delivery of occupational therapy student placements Supporting the completion of appraisals/personal development plans with junior staff Being responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate policies, protocols, and care pathways To be a Successful Occupational Therapist you will need: Occupational Therapy profession qualification Relevant clinical experience with adults who have complex needs Experience of applying occupational frames of reference and approaches Demonstrates evidence of highly effective clinical reasoning skills Knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models Knowledge of how to work with individuals with mental illness What you will get: Annual salary of £31,000 The equivalent of 33 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) - plus your birthday off! You will be working at Aberbeeg Hospital, a low and medium secure service for men which aims to ensure that each service user receives an individualised formulation of needs, to ensure that the care and treatment delivered is appropriate. Aberbeeg is located within the boundaries of the county borough of Blaenau Gwent, set in 11.5 acres of land with beautiful views of the Welsh countryside.
Aberbeeg uses a sixteen-week therapeutic planning model alongside the Safewards model of care. This means that service users have a therapeutic timetable devised collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team using meaningful and smart goals for a sixteen-week period. Following this, the timetable is reviewed and changed to reflect the development and achievements made. About your next employer:
