Remit Compass Associates is proud to be working with a specialist provider of inpatient mental health services, to recruit an Occupational Therapist for their new acute mental health service in Rotherham.
You’d be the sole Occupational Therapist for a small inpatient unit which will provide specialist care, treatment and support for adult females who are struggling with an acute but severe mental health episode. Patients will have a range of backgrounds including personality disorders, anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and histories of trauma. You will work closely with the wider MDT on site which includes a Consultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, Activity Coordinator, Mental Health Nurses and Support Staff.
In addition to the 12 bedded hospital, once the service is up and running in mid-late 2025, there will also be a 5 bed step down service on site to provide a clear pathway for patients retuning to the community, once it’s safe and appropriate to do so. This will be an Occupational Therapy-led service which the successful candidate will lead on.
Essential criteria:
Degree in Occupational Therapy HCPC registration Experience working in an inpatient mental health setting
Commutable from: Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Peak District, Worksop, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Gainsborough and surrounding towns.
