We have excellent clinical leadership and supervision structures; hold regular Occupational Therapy meetings, which include linking in with the wider trust AHPs, enabling regular CPD and learning opportunities.There is opportunity to develop skills in the Vona du Toit Model of Creative Ability and sensory integration approaches with the support of trust wide clinical governance and peer supervision. We are looking foran imaginative, creative and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to work withpeople with learning disabilities and autistic adults displaying distressedbehaviour who have complex needs. The post holder will focus on assessing andproviding Occupational Therapy interventions that improve peoples wellbeingand quality of life by promoting engagement in meaningful activity andinclusion in their community. The post holderwill pro-actively work within the multi-disciplinary team contributing to careplanning, risk management and the planning and organisation of daily activitieson the ward. The post holder willparticipate in the internal rotation system including weekend working and willreceive the paid enhancements associated with this. The post holderwill provide management and clinical support to non-qualified staff within theteam alongside Occupational Therapy students and apprentices. Therapists areencouraged to be innovative and motivated in contributing to the leadership anddevelopment of the Occupational Therapy service. About us
