Job Description

During this exciting period for thisesteemed special school, we are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for a qualified professional with a passion for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who shares our vision and values.

Responsibilities :

Provide occupational therapy support to children and young people aged 4-19 with complex autism, learning difficulties, and challenging behaviors in both day and residential school settings.

Collaborate with a trans-disciplinary team to ensure each pupil’s needs are understood, accurately planned for, and closely monitored.

Advise teaching staff on pupils’ development to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Offer direct and indirect therapy for individuals and groups of pupils.

Provide advice and support to our social care staff for residential pupils.

Requirements :

Suitably qualified Occupational Therapist with significant experience post-qualification.

Passion for working with children and young people with SEND.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to provide both direct and indirect therapy.

Please note : This position is not suitable for newly qualified Occupational Therapists.
