MLK Search is supporting this Outstanding Specialist School for children with Autism in appointing an Occupational Therapist to work across their schools in west London.

The successful candidate will be a key member of therapeutic team and will have the opportunity to continually develop from in house and external training opportunities. You will conduct assessments, and provide and oversee tailored interventions to students aged five to 19.

Working closely with your education colleagues and the SLT you will provide appropriate OT input and training, as well as contribute to the holistic approach and mental and physical wellbeing within the school.

You will work with neurodivergent young people who present with sensory, mental health and special educational needs associated with their diagnosis of autism. A flexible approach, a sense of humour, reliability, punctuality, stamina, resilience and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Person Requirements:

Recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and valid HCPC Registration Previous experience of paid or voluntary work within an educational or complex needs setting Experience within complex communication challenges relating to autism Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated speciality Knowledge of a range of assessment tools and evidence of skilled application Ongoing evidence of CPD
