As a

Specialist Mobility Assessor , you’ll play a crucial role in enabling people with disabilities to drive, travel safely, or regain their mobility. This is not just a job—it’s a chance to transform lives by providing expert assessments, recommendations, and support for individuals facing mobility challenges. Key Responsibilities:

Driving Assessments:

Conduct assessments for individuals with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions to evaluate their ability to learn or continue driving safely. Work with Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) to ensure clients meet driving test standards. Equipment Assessments:

Offer independent assessments of mobility equipment (wheelchairs, scooters, and adaptations) to find the best fit for each client’s unique needs. Assess and advise on high-tech solutions and simple devices alike. Passenger Safety:

Assess and advise clients on how to safely travel as passengers, including suitable equipment to facilitate safe transfers into vehicles. Provide expert guidance on reducing manual handling risks. Vehicle Adaptations:

Advise clients on suitable adaptations and loading options for their vehicles, enabling easier access and egress for both drivers and passengers. Specialist Support:

Work with clients who have neurological conditions, age-related changes, mental health issues, or learning disabilities to assess their driving ability and provide recommendations for safe, independent travel. Vocational and Motorbike Assessments:

Expand your expertise into assessing vocational driving and motorbike riding for those who require specialised evaluations. What We’re Looking For:

You are a skilled professional with a background in assessing and providing mobility solutions. You are passionate about helping people overcome barriers to independence and mobility. You are knowledgeable about vehicle adaptations, driving assessments, and mobility equipment.
