Ongoing Calling all dynamic Occupational Therapists looking for an exciting career change! As a Community Prisons Occupational Therapist, you will work full-time in an ongoing contract, earning up to £32 hourly. This role involves assessing and supporting adults across seven prisons, contributing to an environment where care and rehabilitation are key. What you will do: Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments and identify appropriate equipment aligned with Strength Based practice across seven prisons. Under the Team Leader's guidance, provide Occupational Therapy to adults with care needs in both prisons and approved premises settings. Maintain an active caseload, undertake assessments for adults and older people with less complex needs, and contribute to the creation and implementation of care plans. Evaluate and address risks associated with Moving and Handling to enhance safety. Deliver interventions including recommendations for adaptations and equipment, rehabilitation programmes, and advice. Offer initial Occupational Therapy advice to support the first contact service. Foster connections with other agencies and Local Authority departments to enhance service delivery. Regularly review services provided and uphold Departmental Procedures. Participate in quality standards implementation and strive for service cost-effectiveness. Maintain accurate case records and documentation, preparing reports as needed. Engage in training and development to stay informed and expand skills. Requirement: As a key requirement, you must be HCPC registered and a car driver, taking on this transformative role with confidence and capability.
