NHS Ayrshire & Arran - Home (nhsaaa.net) Position An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist at Caley Court Resource Centre. What you will do: Within this role, you will provide occupational therapy assessment and treatment to people with complex needs who are living in the local community and who are in hospital, in preparation for discharge. You will be part of an occupational therapy service that is supporting new pathway working across disciplines and services. You will also be involved in the supervision of junior colleagues and students and in a programme of inter-disciplinary training. As part of the occupational therapy and wider team remit, the successful candidate will be supported to further develop leadership skills and will be responsible for specific aspects of service development and delivery. Line management supervision will be provided by a Band 7 occupational therapist. Caseload allocation will be undertaken in collaboration with occupational therapy staff working within the service. There is an ongoing commitment to providing dynamic professional and clinical supervision which meets our staff and service needs. Active engagement with peers across North Ayrshire / Pan - Ayrshire services is supported through professional development groups and a range of forums. National benchmarking and engagement is encouraged and supported. Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: We require an Occupational Therapist who is HCPC registered, with a Diploma or Degree qualification in Occupational Therapy. Relevant experience working with people who have problems with substance use and in mental health is required as is postgraduate training. Hours: 37 per week As a team we are keen to support flexible working practices which benefit the health and wellbeing aspirations of both our service users and staff. This would include looking at part-time and flexible working. UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership: UK driving licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
