An excellent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Urgent Response and Hospital and Care at Home Team. You will be working as a Specialist Band 6 Occupational Therapist, assessing and treating patients in their own homes across the Salford Neighborhoods. We are looking for experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapists to join our service. You should have significant post-registration experience, including working in a community and/or rehabilitation setting, covering a wide variety of clinical areas. You will be an excellent team player, possess strong communication skills, and be able to work independently to organize and prioritize your caseload while balancing the demands of this diverse role. The Service operates over 7 days, currently covering the hours of 8 am to 10 pm. It is essential that the post holder can fulfill the travel requirements of the role, hold a full UK driving license, and have access to a vehicle. Main Duties of the Job

To assess and treat adults who are experiencing reduced physical ability and require Rehabilitation and Reablement. The post holder will work as a member of the Urgent Response & Hospital and Care at Home Team and will be responsible for providing a Community Rehabilitation Occupational Therapy service to people in their own homes (including residential/nursing homes) across Salford. Their day-to-day workload will include: Being experienced and skilled in the holistic assessment of patients' needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of individual treatment programs. Supporting senior members of the team in delivering evidence-based patient care. Working across community settings with a wide knowledge base. Caring for a caseload of patients that present with acute or chronic conditions. Working as an autonomous practitioner, being professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your work, managing your caseload, and maintaining patient and personal records. Collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team, coordinating discharge, and taking an active role in case conferences. Providing professional guidance and support for Band 5 staff, Technicians/Therapy Assistants, and students. Participating in appropriate MDT meetings, IST, and training. Assessing, planning, prioritizing, and making recommendations regarding equipment, adaptations, etc., as appropriate to the client group. About Us

Qualifications & Registration

Member of HCPC Degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Community experience Evidence of post-graduate experience appropriate to meet the knowledge and skills for this post Evidence of excellent written communication skills Evidence of working within a MDT Evidence of supervising staff and/or students Must have a UK driving license with access to a car with business insurance Experience of working in the community and/or rehabilitation unit Trust Values and Behaviours
