The successful applicant will work within a multi-disciplinary team providing Occupational Therapy interventions under the direction of a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT). OTs work with individuals to establish the impact of their mental health needs on their day-to-day functioning. Interventions offered in the community aim to maximise opportunities to create meaningful connections in the community and address individual goals in line with recovery-based practice. The successful applicant will: have excellent communication skills have the ability to think creatively and flexibly be able to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and values of person-centred care. The Aneurin Bevan University Health Board OT service is committed to delivering a high-quality service and therefore requires that all OT support workers participate in the Agored training programme.
