The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures, you will support in assessing patients' health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patients' needs. You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect, collate and organise data, interpret all of the information and make a justifiable assessment, making this available to relevant others. The successful Operating Department Practitioner or Anaesthetic Nurse will ensure smooth running of the theatres. You will supervise / mentor junior staff (subject to experience) and perform recovery/anaesthetic duties. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills as the unit performs various surgical procedures ranging from General Surgery, Orthopaedic, Urology, Plastics and Ophthalmology. Treatment Centre consists of 7 operating theatres of varying specialities. We are looking for a highly motivated Anaesthetic Nurse or ODP to join our dynamic team in Anaesthetics and PACU. Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide high quality clinical care to patients, in line with the Trust values and in accordance with professional regulations. Clinical: Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care through appropriate frameworks, including safe effective arrangements for discharge, underpinned by Trust values. Assist members of the team in the co-ordination of the clinical activities. Use clinical standards to participate in the process of monitoring the quality of care delivered.
