Off-Highway Machinery Test Technician
Initial 12 Month Contract. Extensions very likely for the right person.
Location: Peterborough
We are looking for an Off-Highway Machinery Test Technician to work in a Global Engine Development facility based in Peterborough. This is an initial 12-month contract, likely to be extended for the right person.
Your duties will include:
Working on own initiative as well as following engineers' instructions.
Assisting engineers in performing needs analysis, initiating ideas, evaluating, and contributing to the design of new products and processes.
Diagnosing and fixing a range of faults on machines and powertrains.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic) and manufacturing specific parts from drawings.
Adhering to company processes including safety, standard work, and quality.
What we are looking for:
Demonstrable understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic systems with a good working knowledge of powertrains and machines.
Competence and full familiarity with engineering drawings.
Good PC skills with office suite.
