Offender Monitoring Team Lead
will manage a team of moderators in the eSafe platform. The objectives of this role include reviewing safeguarding incidents detected by the eSafe monitoring application, identifying the risk and escalating the incidents appropriately. The analyst will need to have a keen eye for detail in identifying potential breaches of court orders including Sexual Harm Prevention Orders, making informed decisions and creating accurate and detailed reports and evidential packages. The work requires an understanding of modern online culture, knowledge of current applications and an ability to work at pace whilst making accurate decisions. Here’s how you’ll do it : Lead a team of Offender Monitoring Analysts who review the activity of offenders and are exposed to indecent and distressing incidents daily. Manage and prepare own workload while also setting the daily workload for the team to adhere to. Quality, performance, risk and resource management of analysts. Providing on-call support where needed (to include Sundays when moderators are checking serious incidents). An escalation point as an expert moderator for their team. Providing well-being support to the analysts. Conducting team meetings, 121s, annual reviews and regular coaching. Collaborate with other departments and customers to ensure maximum efficiency of systems and services. Manage rotas to ensure that there is suitable cover for each shift. Assist Police Relations with the onboarding of new customers (to include booking training sessions and the initial set ups of groups on the console and user accounts). Assist Police Relations and Head of Moderation with data extract and other admin requests. Prepare accurate and detailed evidential packages. Assist in the recruitment and interview process for any future Offender Monitoring Analysts. Thereafter, you will be responsible for their internal training. Remotely attend customer training sessions conducted by the Trainer in Product for the purpose of engaging in the Q&A section. Additionally the team leader will be expected to perform moderation as per the outcomes of an Offender Monitoring Analyst. What you will bring: A degree or equivalent in a relevant field (Criminology/ Sociology/ Psychology/ Policing studies). Previous experience of monitoring and analysing behaviours. Very IT literate with a good knowledge of social media and online applications. Ideally previous experience of working with sensitive information. Ideally have experience leading a team. Be able to successfully pass NPPV3 and Security Clearance vetting. What you will have: A good understanding of the English language and excellent communication skills (written and verbal). An interest/experience of working in safeguarding, crime prevention or the welfare and well-being of young people and adults. Have quick decision-making skills. Have excellent customer, interpersonal and communication skills. Be able to remain calm and empathetic when under pressure or dealing with difficult situations. Have a strong work ethic and ability to stay focused for extended periods.
