Overview We are a friendly small team running a boutique clothing brand specialising in silk and cashmere outfits. We’re looking for a highly organised office assistant to join the Shibumi family. Applicants should be happy to work within a small, close-knit team in the heart of Gloucestershire. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Office Assistant to join our small team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of all the order processes and providing essential administrative support. There will be a lot of ironing to do, so someone who enjoys this and takes pride in making things look beautiful will be ideal. This position requires strong organisational skills, proficiency in various software applications, and excellent communication abilities. Responsibilities Ironing, packing, and sending out orders. Processing all orders, data entry, stock control, and maintaining office records. Corresponding with our team in India to ensure a smooth process of orders. Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and phone calls, while demonstrating professional phone etiquette. Organising the showroom and keeping it clean and tidy. Providing customer service when needed at shows and in the showroom. Support the team with various administrative tasks to enhance overall productivity. Maintain an organised office environment by ensuring supplies are stocked and equipment is functioning properly. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Skills Ability to iron well. Strong administrative skills. High attention to detail as dealing with all customer orders. Excellent organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively. Experience with Mac computer software. Time management is essential. A happy 'can do' demeanour. Ability to type quickly and accurately, ensuring timely completion of tasks. Demonstrated phone etiquette for effective communication with clients and colleagues. Customer service face-to-face as and when needed. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills as required. Basic bookkeeping (desirable). Adobe Suite (desirable). An eye for beauty and style (desirable).
