Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, this Senior Manager – Compliance role is an integral part of Latham’s Office of the General Counsel team. This exciting new opportunity will be responsible for overseeing operations and managing non-lawyer personnel within our global compliance framework, while working with the legal compliance team to support and implement compliance strategies and initiatives in alignment with organisational goals and regulatory requirements. This role will report to the Associate General Counsel and will be located in either our London or Manchester office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Other key responsibilities include: Overseeing and managing a global team of compliance professionals at various levels Serving as a liaison between the compliance team and other departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on compliance matters Assisting with the development of, and identification of the need for, compliance-related training to relevant business functions Proactively staying abreast of regulatory changes and compliance as they relate to the firm Conducting research, analysing data, and generating reports as required by the legal compliance team, Deputy General Counsel, Audit and Advisory, and others We’d love to hear from you if you: Possess well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm Demonstrate strong project management and organisational skills, including the ability to manage time well, prioritise effectively, anticipate obstacles, and handle multiple deadlines Display strong initiative and a focus on driving improvements to the firm’s compliance programmes And have: A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent A JD or equivalent legal training, preferably Experience managing global compliance teams and programmes for multinational service organisations or global business services teams and programmes for a multinational law firm Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
