Join Atlas Copco as an Offshore Field Service Engineer where you will maintain and service the company’s rental fleet assets to the set goals and standards, whilst providing a professional, competent, courteous and prompt service to all Atlas Copco customers, over a varied product and service range, including but not limited to compressed air and power generation equipment. You will be involved in substantial offshore, onshore UK and international assignments for extended durations of time, alternated with repair and field service activities in our depot, and with customers.

Your Role Carry out servicing and maintenance on varied compressed air equipment, power generation equipment, and associated products. Carry out work according to service schedules, conduct test procedures and record information; highlight any service issues on site that may affect equipment performance safety and or reliability. Effectively diagnose electrical faults on a varied range of equipment and associated products and conduct fault finding assessments and elimination processes. Maximise the commission of new equipment by understanding and interpreting electrical drawings and diagrams. Complete documentation in a professional manner. Induct customers as required, in the general operations of fleet equipment. Undertake on occasion training courses for customers when commissioning or setting up equipment at site. Assist Management with client technical support - completion of concise reports, and when required participate in discussions / meetings with customers. Participate in call out rota - answer telephone calls 24/7 when required and attend field call-outs as necessary. Maintain test instruments, to ensure they remain in good condition. Check calibration prior to use, follow correct operating instructions, indicate when repair or recalibration due. Adhere to maintain and comply with company QHS&E standards - Comply with all procedures and processes applicable to the company standards of ISO: 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001. Identify and nominate areas or processes for continual improvement. Conduct all your assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner. Actively take part in on & offshore projects abroad involving various types of rental equipment and applications. Qualifications

Worked within a service environment and have a proven track record with regard to product knowledge and professional interpersonal skills. Relevant work experience, including City & Guilds / Scotvec or equivalent (industry relevant). BOSIET/RGIT offshore survival training or equivalent. Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent). Experience Required

Experienced in power generation and air compressors. Ideally with an understanding of Atlas Copco core products (QAS, QAC, XRVS, Boosters, etc) diesel driven air compressors and associated equipment. Competent with electrical diagrams & drawings and follow logically. Can use diagnostic skills to overcome problems. Willingness to develop competence with electrical wiring diagrams, tracing faults through structured elimination process. Ability to conduct if required resistance and continuity testing, and to interpret the results leading to successful solution provision would be desirable. Sound knowledge of combustion engines, diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds. Ability to identify malfunctioning components, strip down and repair where viable. Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems plus experience in welding/fabrication techniques advantageous. Competent with servicing requirements such as oil and filter changes, completion of servicing documentation. Understands and can analyse flow diagrams / charts. Demonstrates a good level of electrical engineering and mechanical fitting skills. Knowledge of dc and electronic systems and their symbols and diagrams is required. Ability to assess situations and take a holistic view, ensuring safe working environment. Competent in the use of pc /computer equipment, i.e. data entry, typing reports, diagnostic equipment management systems, etc. Personality Requirements
